Toy Standard Development Process

A 30-day stakeholder comment period was held in April 2010 to solicit feedback on the proposed first draft of the EcoLogo Toy Standard, CCD-172.
A comment report consolidating all feedback received on the first draft has been compiled and is available here.
The EcoLogo Program is appreciative of the insightful comments received from stakeholders on the first draft, and will consider all feedback as we move forward in our work on the second draft.

Project Initiation: July 6, 2009
- EcoLogo conducting background research and populating stakeholder list
Discussion Document: August 4, 2009
- Stakeholder comments requested regarding proposed scope and direction of standard
Development of Draft Standard:
- EcoLogo considers stakeholder feedback on discussion document in development of first draft
- Stakeholder comment period will be held in April, 2010 for feedback on the first draft standard
- EcoLogo considers feedback received on first draft, and begins work on second draft in May 2010 *ECOLOGO IS CURRENTLY AT THIS STAGE*

EcoLogo has commissioned an external advisory committee to assist in the development of this standard. The EcoLogo Program is incredibly grateful not only for the time commitment these individuals have made, but also for their invaluable input and expertise as we move forward in developing an environmental leadership standard for children's toys.
